Privacy policy
Last updated: 11 September 2026 · fatburningbreakfast.com
This policy explains what personal data fatburningbreakfast.com (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit the site or subscribe to the newsletter, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. If anything here is unclear, write to privacy@fatburningbreakfast.com.
1. Who we are
fatburningbreakfast.com is operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], [COMPANY NUMBER]. For data protection purposes we are the data controller for the information described below.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. When you subscribe, we collect your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your first name. We keep a record of the date, time and page from which you subscribed as proof of consent.
Information collected automatically. Our email platform records whether a message was delivered, opened, and which links were clicked. Our website logs standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, referring page and time of visit.
What we do not collect. We do not ask for health information, payment details, or any special category data. Please do not send us medical details by email.
3. Why we use it
- To send you the newsletter you asked for, on the basis of your consent.
- To measure how the newsletter performs in aggregate and improve what we publish, on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the publication well.
- To keep the site secure and functioning, and to meet our legal obligations.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our instructions only:
- Our email service provider, which stores subscriber records and sends the newsletter.
- Our website host and analytics provider.
We may also disclose data where we are legally required to do so. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA or the UK, the transfer is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
5. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work, and analytics cookies that help us understand which pages are read. Analytics cookies are set only with your agreement, and you can withdraw it at any time through your browser settings or our cookie banner.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your subscriber record for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal suppression record — your email address and the date — so that we do not contact you again by mistake. Website logs are kept for up to 12 months.
7. Your rights
You can unsubscribe from every email we send using the link at the bottom of it. You can also ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what we did before.
If you live in California, you may also request details of the personal information we have collected and ask us to delete it; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make any request, email privacy@fatburningbreakfast.com. We reply within 30 days.
8. Children
This site and newsletter are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has subscribed, contact us and we will remove the record.
9. Changes and complaints
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page, and for material changes we will say so in the newsletter.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to your local data protection authority. In the EU this is the supervisory authority in your country of residence; in the UK it is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
